China's green fence policy has little impact on the waste plastics industry in Canada
The Canadian plastics industry association says China's green fence policy has little impact on the country's plastic recycling industry, since most recycled materials are recycled in North America.
In 2013, Canada reclaimed 310,000 tons of waste plastic packaging, of which more than 80% (240,000 tons) were recycled in Canada and the United States. As a result, the country's plastic recycling system is based on local rather than export.
This is the result of a recent study conducted by the association. The survey included plastic bottles, hard plastic, plastic bags and plastic films. The main renewable USES include flannelette, new vials, pipes, pallets, pallets, pallets, balcony panels and garden products.
