The eu plastics industry is speeding up the management of plastic waste
According to market statistics, over the past 10 years, the European Union plastics industry has invested 50 million euros to promote the management of plastic waste, and achieved some results. According to waste plastic quality, the average recovery rate in 2008 was 51.3 percent, an increase of 1.7 percent over the previous year. Among them, the recycling of waste plastics in Switzerland is the best and the recovery rate is 99.5%; Denmark and Germany followed with a recovery rate of 96.5 per cent and 96.3 per cent respectively.
All PET PET bottles collected in the European market in 2009 have been recycled by 52%. Europe collected 1.5 million tons in 2009, according to the organization for recycling and use of PET pepet in Europe. PET polyester recycled materials are used to increase the tonnage of the fiber, and the amount of tonnage used for the plate increases to 27%. The number of blow - blowing continues to grow, accounting for nearly 20% in 2009. Exports to the far east maintain 14 per cent of PET polyester, but export tonnage is up 36 per cent. European guidelines require packaging and packaging waste in 2008, most of the members of the European Union should be at least 22.5% recycled plastic packaging, are on target to 2020 from family source plastic recycling and reusing rate increased to 50%.
To ensure the sustainable development of the plastics industry, a joint national action plan must be established between plastic manufacturers, processors, retailers and recycling plants. Manufacturers need to keep the good image of the plastic, for example, processors should improve the quality of products, retailers through the plastic bag exchange programs to strengthen the contact with customers, recyclers recycling, etc., to improve the image industry by increasing responsibility to use plastic bags, achieve a win-win situation. In addition, varieties of different waste plastics recycling way is different, some can be sent to the factory rework, some can be used as compost, some are used to convert the energy, some can be biodegradable, etc.
It is understood that the recycling of PET waste plastics in Europe is 5-9 times higher than that in the production and recycling of plastic products. By 2020, the benefits of using plastic are 9-15 times greater than the combined emissions from production and waste management.
According to statistics, the recovery rate of plastic in Europe reached 54% in 2008. In 2009, European plastic demand increased to 52.8 million tons, of which 50% were recycled, 20.6% recycled and 29.5% recycled as energy. Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland all had more than 82 percent recycled plastic waste in 2009. According to statistics from the 27 eu member states and two non-member states, the total amount of plastic waste in Europe in 2008 was about 24.9 million tons, with 63 percent coming from plastic packaging. The European Union attaches great importance to the recycling and utilization of waste plastics. Currently, most citizens of European countries can consciously classify the packaging waste.
