The plastic processing industry is maturing
In 2013, there were a lot of difficulties in the plastic processing industry in China. Although the industry maintained a steady growth, the growth rate slowed down significantly and the growth rate slowed significantly.
The reasons for the decline and slowdown are manifold. On the one hand, the lack of global economic demand has led to a decline in export packaging demand. On the other hand, domestic economic growth is slowing down, and there is insufficient demand for plastic products. Of course, apart from the macro environment, we should also see the problems of the plastic processing industry itself. First, the product structure is unreasonable, the proportion of low grade products is too high; Secondly, some products have a structural and periodic excess; Third, the technological innovation capability is not strong and the new growth point has not been formed.
In view of these situations, the author believes that the following problems should be paid attention to in the future development of the industry.
First, the industry needs to accelerate the shift to quality. Through the rapid development since the 12th five-year plan, our country has become the world's largest producer of plastic products and consumption. This is mainly due to the policy of China's reform and opening up, thanks to the rapid growth of national economy. The main feature of this stage is the rapid expansion of capacity through massive investment. Driven by a number of leading development, some products have excess capacity, and future scale expansion space is compressed.
In addition, the available technology space is getting smaller and smaller, so the pace of rapid technological leapfrogging will be significantly slower and more need for independent innovation in the future. At the same time, the experience of economic development reveals that such a rule that the growth of domestic demand in the industrialized features will gradually decrease with the completion of the pursuit task. When per capita GDP reached 11000 yuan international (per capita GDP in 2013 about $10000), the important industrial production peak will appear at the same time, so the growth phase of the transformation of economic development, growth is inevitable. In this regard, we should be fully prepared to adapt to the external environment of slower growth, and put our foothold in a shift from the number of leading to quality.
Second, excess capacity is a reflection of the need for production. The plastic processing industry is a rapidly growing emerging manufacturing industry, but some products are currently experiencing structural and periodic excess of production capacity. The excess capacity causes low price and vicious competition, resulting in market chaos, which affects both the industry image and the enterprise benefit, and also affects the healthy development of the industry. To reduce excess capacity, we should prevent new excess from the source and avoid blind expansion. The focus should be on the solution of excess capacity. We need to eliminate, transform, upgrade and transfer in accordance with the four requirements.
And the most fundamental way to deal with overcapacity is technological innovation and structural adjustment, and cultivate new growth points. In order to accelerate the structural adjustment, the product structure of high, medium and low grade should be formed as soon as possible.
Take plastic pipe products as an example, the annual output of 2013 is 12.1 million tons, but according to incomplete statistics, excess capacity has exceeded 20 million tons. Serious excess capacity is concentrated in the homogeneity of ordinary hard plastic tube, and exchanged opinions on high-end pipe, compared with foreign advanced level, in the pipe on the special resin, production technology and products has a big gap.
In the application of industrial fields, the pipeline materials for special media such as abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance and clean media, especially the oil pipes of offshore oil fields need to be actively developed. Therefore, relying on technical progress and implementing high-end strategy is the direction of structural adjustment and the fundamental way to reduce excess capacity.
Third, we should fully recognize the significant change in the connotation of the development opportunities and challenges of plastic processing industry. As the plastic processing industry of emerging manufacturing industry, facing rare development opportunities and serious challenges, we should continue to give full play to the competitive advantage of plastic processing industry and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of development.
Awake, we recognize that in the past for a long time, relying on high investment and energy intensive and low cost growth model is unsustainable, from the factors of resource consumption to intensive, from relying on enlarging the scale of investment and expansion to rely on technological progress, innovation and elements of upgrades, foster new competitive advantages. The optimal combination of resources, energy, capital, capital, land and other elements should be carried out to generate greater efficiency.
As a new manufacturing, plastic processing industry grew rapidly as a potential future pillar industry, the market demand, good prospects for development, despite the way there will be some difficulties, but the chips are in the transition to a mature stage.
