An opinion draft is issued at the end of this month
For coordination with the relevant person in charge of the national standard committee recently said the notice requirements of the state council, the standards committee at the end of last year has launched the standards set by the research work related plastic shopping bags, at present the standard work plan has been fully launched. The standards are expected to be published by the end of this month. All standards will be issued before the state department's June 1 deadline, which includes both product standards and testing standards for the state department's notification requirements.
It is understood that there is no specific standard for plastic shopping bags, and there is no product standard that is less than 0.025mm plastic shopping bag. The new standard, drafted by the national plastics standardization commission, will be the first mandatory national standard for plastic shopping bags.
Previously, our country only "commodity retail packaging bag" national recommendation standard (GB/T18893-2002), for the plastic, kraft paper, white board paper as the packaging bag for packaging. Moreover, the standard was downgraded to industry standard in packaging industry in 2006.
The food bag should be noted

The size deviation is not more than 2%
In terms of dimensions of technical specifications, the length and width should not exceed 2% deviation. For example, one of the plastic bags used in supermarkets, the standard size is 30 by 40 cm, so the allowed error should not exceed 2%. In appearance, the plastic bag is required to be uniform and smooth, no wrinkles, no scum, no stains, no bubbles, no color holes.
Consumers can often see poor plastic bags with blurred text patterns on them. The new standard will require that the printing quality of plastic bags must be even with ink, the pattern should be clear and complete, the printing accuracy shall not be greater than 1mm. In other words, when many bags are folded together, the printed word must be aligned and the error is not greater than 1 mm.
Test methods include water leakage test
Standard requirements, the factory of plastic shopping bags must be approved by the appearance, thickness, printing quality, such as factory inspection, the whole box must have a certificate of approval, certificate shall indicate the following information, including: product name, trademark, producer name and address, within specifications, nominal weight, production date, inspector, etc. Previously, many plastic bags were sold without certification.
The standard also stipulates the test method of plastic shopping bag quality, such as test on physical properties, lifting test, water leakage test, etc. The water leakage test is to inject 1/5 volume of water in the plastic bag, the temperature is about 23 degrees centigrade, set for 1 minute, observe whether there is water drop drop at the bottom. In the case of food use plastic bags, there are also test contents such as acid and oil to detect evaporation residue.
The thickness of plastic bags shall be included in the national standard
The notice of the state council specifically stipulates the critical value of the plastic shopping bag thickness -- 0.025mm. The standard will be used as a mandatory indicator for production. The thickness of the plastic bags shall not be less than 0.025mm. This is the first time that China has incorporated the thickness of plastic bags into mandatory national standards.
