Sinopec and basf have built the first foreign alcohol-producing device in China
China petrochemical co., LTD. And basf have held a foundation ceremony for the construction of the world class iso-anol plant in maoming hi-tech industrial development zone, guangdong province.
The device for the first domestic nonyl alcohol production device, will start production in 2015, belonging to a joint venture established with 50:50 ratio between - maoming petrochemical co., LTD., basf meet the market for a new generation of plasticizer growing demand.
Basf's Asia Pacific President, greater China CEO and chairman Dr Romantic boy said: "in Asia Pacific, we are committed to through the local production for local industrial service, by 2020 75% of its sales from the local production. This project has taken us a step closer to this strategic goal."
Isononol is the raw material for the production of a new generation of plasticizers, mainly used in the production of new generation plasticizers of phthalates (DINP) and phthalates. DINP is widely used in automobile, cables, floor, building industrial fields such as plasticizer, and Hexamoll and DINCH is from basf, used in the toy, medical and food contact sensitive non phthalate plasticizers in the field of application.
Sinopec and basf have established long-term cooperative relations. In nanjing, sinopec and basf co-operated a joint venture of 50:50 in 2000 -- yangzi petrochemical -- basf LLC.
