In October, China exported 76.46 million tons of plastic products to 6.77 percent year-on-year
According to the latest data from the general administration of customs, China exported 76.46 million tons of plastic products in October, up 0.18% from the previous month. Year-on-year growth was 6.77 per cent, up 9.22 percentage points from September. From January to October, China's total exports of plastic products totaled 734.52 million tons, up 4.2 percent from the same period last year, and the growth rate picked up slightly, ending three consecutive months of decline. Export amount, 1 ~ 10 month accumulative amount of the plastic products exports was $28.3 billion, up 9.1% from a year earlier, the growth rate rose by 0.1%, over the previous seven consecutive months of decline. Plastic products processing industry in China in the international division of labor in the industry of mid-range, rely mainly on development model, resource intensive, low Labour costs in such aspects as high technology content and application of new materials are relatively backward. China's labor costs rose sharply in recent years, the international market for chemical plastic products environmental requirements gradually increase, plastic products export barriers have been raised, this greatly weaken the competitiveness of export of plastics products. Sluggish world economic recovery this year, weak demand for plastic products, once again restricted the growth of China's plastic products export, and the overall growth rate of China's plastic products has declined. From a macro perspective, China's plastic exports are expected to decline slightly in November from October.
